Spring and Summer Severe Weather Tips

- "Be educated – Understand the difference between a watch and a warning. A watch means that conditions are favorable; a warning means activity has been spotted in the county either by a trained weather spotter or on radar.
- Stay informed – Pay attention and seek out specific details about the warning from local news stations or the National Weather Service.
- Stay safe – Seek immediate shelter during a warning. During a severe thunderstorm warning, stay inside. During a tornado warning, shelter-in-place in one of your safe areas until an “all clear” has been given." (Source:https://parent.osu.edu/articles/id/162)
