You probably know it helps to have a preparedness kit stocked with items you’ll need in the event of a disaster. But do you know how many days that kit should be able to last you?

Answer: Though it may seem like a lot, you should prepare your kit to last your family at least 5 days. In the event of a disaster, you’ll be glad you were prepared.  Example items:  water, batteries, first aid kit, flashlight, matches. Many cities in the area are posting on social media topics regarding National Preparedness Month.  Be sure to check out your local city.
