Preparing for Unpredictable Spring Weather in Northeast Cleveland
5/15/2021 (Permalink)
The saying “April Showers Bring May Flowers” has yet to apply to Cleveland weather this year. As flowers start to bud, spring storms will start rolling in. How can you prepare for the unpredictability of spring weather? The CDC recommends keeping an emergency kit on hand. It might even be helpful keeping one in your car as well whether you are driving around Bratenahl or Cuyahoga Heights. Here is what the CDC recommends including in your kit:
-Battery-operated flashlight
-Battery-operated radio
-Extra batteries
-Map of evacuation plan for each type of weather emergency
-List of important personal information (telephone numbers, insurance information, medical information, etc.)
-First aid kit
-Bottled waters
-Personal hygiene items (that do not require electricity or appliances)
-Blankets, pillows, and sleeping bags
