• Prepare a safety kit - Include batteries, food, radio, list of telephone numbers.
• Stay aware of weather conditions - Pay attention to the weather outside (dark clouds, green-colored sky) and the weather channel.
• Know where to shelter - If you are home, go to the basement or closet farthest away from the bathrooms. If you are outside, find a nearby building and make sure to never stay in your car.
